Zabota Nails is an independent nail artist based in New York City. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect when you use this website — including online booking and reviews — how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have.
Information we collect
When you book an appointment, contact us, or submit a review, we collect the details you provide: your name, email address, and phone number, along with your appointment details and any message or notes you add. Notes may include information you choose to share about allergies or health so we can serve you safely. For reviews, we collect the name and review text you submit. We also process the limited technical information needed to operate and secure the site.
How we use your information
We use your information to schedule, confirm, and manage your appointments; to take deposits and process payments; to send you booking confirmations, reminders, and updates; to respond to your enquiries; to moderate and publish reviews you submit; to keep business records; and to maintain and improve the security of the service.
Payments (Stripe)
Deposits and payments are processed by Stripe. When you pay, your card details are entered directly with Stripe — we do not receive or store your full card number. Stripe processes this information under its own privacy terms.
Email (Resend)
We use Resend to send transactional emails such as booking confirmations and notifications. To deliver these, your email address and the relevant booking details are shared with Resend for that purpose.
Where your data is stored
Your booking and review information is stored in our database, hosted by our infrastructure providers, and protected with reasonable technical and organizational safeguards. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, but we take steps to protect your data.
Cookies and local storage
We use only what the site needs to work — for example remembering your language preference, keeping your booking session, and storing small items in your browser’s local storage for site features (such as the daily count in the mini-game). We do not use third-party advertising trackers. If we add analytics in the future, we will update this policy.
Sharing your information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with the service providers that help us run the studio — such as Stripe (payments), Resend (email), and our hosting provider — and only as needed to provide the service, or where we are required to do so by law.
How long we keep it
We keep your information for as long as needed to provide the service, keep appropriate business records, and meet legal obligations. When it is no longer needed, we delete or anonymize it, and you can ask us to remove your data sooner (see your rights below).
Your rights
You can ask us to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you. To make a request, email us at zabotanails@gmail.com and we will respond within a reasonable time.
Children
This site and our services are not directed to children. Nail services for a minor should be arranged with the consent of a parent or guardian.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last changed.
